15 fund houses have equity assets above Rs. 1 lakh crore
As on December 2025, the equity AUM of the Indian mutual fund industry accounts for over 62% of the total assets in the industry. The equity AUM of the industry stood at Rs. 50.19 lakh crore out of the total assets of around Rs. 82 lakh crore.
Interestingly, 15 fund houses have equity assets above Rs. 1 lakh crore, which includes seven fund houses managing equity assets above Rs. 2 lakh crore.
SBI Mutual Fund leads the industry in terms of having the highest assets under equity schemes. The fund house has equity AUM of Rs. 8.21 lakh crore, making it 65% of its total assets at Rs. 12.60 lakh crore.
